Just 5 days ago, I gave my worms chopped cantaloupe rinds, watermelon rinds, Celery other various scraps... all gone. It's amazing how fast little bits will disappear. As you will know, organic material is broken down by bacteria, and to speed up the process you could increase the surface area available to the bacteria by chopping/slicing the foods before they are put in. I started doing this with my own worm farm recently and I seem to have had slightly quicker results with small chopped parts or thin slices. Even chopped finely it takes a while for the food to become available to the worms. Cheers, Rob. For example, if you’re going to use it to water vegetables, avoid sprinkling the water on the parts that you’ll eat in order to avoid contamination.Sharon Strockhttp://www.stormchambers.com/stormchamber.htmlnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-315267988794760327.post-62906143828562940992012-10-14T12:40:20.543-06:002012-10-14T12:40:20.543-06:00I am often to blogging and i really appreciate you...I am often to blogging and i really appreciate your content.
